Pediatric Physical Therapy

What is Pediatric physical therapy?

Physical therapy is a specialized treatment that helps children gain control over their gross motor skills. These are the large body movements that are necessary for movement such as crawling, walking, jumping, and more. Through personalized treatment based on your child’s specific needs, our caring physical therapists can help your child build their skills to improve their overall health and wellbeing.

What Does Pediatric Physical Therapy Address?

Pediatric physical therapy addresses many areas of your child’s development, such as:

Who Can Benefit from Pediatric Physical Therapy?

Any child who struggles with the developmental skills mentioned above can benefit from pediatric physical therapy. Our expert therapists have worked with children who have a variety of conditions, including:

How Pediatric Physical Therapy Works

Our friendly physical therapists will work with your child at every therapy appointment to improve their vital gross motor skills. We do this through evidence-based, proven treatment techniques designed to empower your child to explore the world around them and move with confidence.

These techniques may be activities, exercises, or games that address the specific skills your child needs to build. Our physical therapists may look like they are only playing with your child during their session, but this is intentional. By creating a fun environment and treating therapy like a game, we keep children motivated to work on their physical skills and help them reach their developmental goals.

Does The SpOT Clinic Offer Rehab Services?

At this time, we are not able to offer rehabilitative services to our patients. Our focus is on habilitative services, which means that we can help children who are experiencing developmental delays or disabilities that prevent them from gaining the skills they need for independence and success in life. We do not provide service for children who have experienced an accident, illness, or injury that need therapy to address their condition. However, we would be happy to recommend you to a rehabilitative clinic where your child can receive the treatment they need to recover.
